About

Lab and field geologist, petrologist, volcanologist, and rock physicist with 10-year research experience and 19 publications in international peer-reviewed journals. Enthusiastic communicator, team player, and project manager with strong track record in international collaborative partnerships. Pro-active prompt problem solver with creative approach transcending traditional disciplinary boundaries.
I am now Assistant Professor in Petrology and Volcanology at the Department of Geology of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Georgia (UGA). My overall research interests and skills include experimental, analytical and field-based geology, petrology, and mechanics of multiphase magmas and volatiles in the Earth’s interior, including the processes driving volcanic eruptions. Looking forward to conducting vibrant research, delivering excellent teaching to undegraduate and graduate students, and working side-by-side with students, postdocs, and faculty scientists!
